X has had its own AI chatbot, Grok, for a while, but it would be fair to say it's not mentioned in the same way that OpenAI's ChatGPT or Google Gemini are.  That's not for the want of trying, though, and with a huge user base of X users providing data for the model, a new version was always expected.

Tesla's humanoid robot, Optimus, is still in the lab, but it may be ready to sell by the end of next year, Chief Executive Elon Musk said on 22 April 2024. Musk told investors on a conference call that he guessed the robot would be able to perform tasks in the factory by the end of this year. Musk has said that robot sales could become a larger part of the Tesla business than other segments, including car manufacturing.

A Tesla software engineer suffered severe injuries when he was attacked by a malfunctioning robot on the floor of the electric car maker’s factory in Austin, Texas.  Witnesses said that the robot, which was designed to move aluminum car parts, pinned the engineer and sank its metal claws into his back and arm, leaving a trail of blood along the floor.  The engineer was programming software that controls robots to cut car parts from freshly cast aluminum pieces.

Musk’s TruthGPT - Formerly named Twitter, now X Corp owner Elon Musk is warning on the dangers of artificial intelligence to humanity and claiming that a popular Chatbot has a liberal bias that he plans to counter with his own AI creation.  Musk stated in a recent interview that he plans to create an alternative to the popular AI Chatbot ChatGPT that he is calling “TruthGPT,” which will be a “maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe.”
