Low voltage power is a current technology standard and will power the future Smart cities, not to mention all 16 sectors of our critical global infrastructure and essential resources. The NEC will introduce a new type of circuit called Class 4, which offers more power while being just as safe as, if not safer than, Class 2 and Class 3 circuits. This technology will become part of the 2023 NEC under New Article 726, which has a proposal for its publication.
