From our Friends at Be Cyber Aware at Sea: Welcome to this month’s edition of Phish & Ships, brought to you by The Be Cyber Aware at Sea campaign. With just two months to go to the IMO’s deadline for new cyber regulations to be met, now is the time for those in the maritime sector to be making final preparations. If in doubt, there are a host of great products out there to help those seeking assistance, with more being developed every month that goes by. This month we have had some clear examples of why cyber resilience matters so much as the International Maritime Organization itself, alongside one of the largest international carriers, CMA CGM, were victims of cyber attacks. The message? Anyone can fall prey to a cyber criminal. Remember to invest in your defenses, but plan for a breach and prepare your people in all cases.
